Dr. Tim Liu, a JIFRESSE Visiting Researcher and a Senior Scientist at JPL, has been elected a Fellow of the American Geophysical Union, an honor reserved for only 0.1% of the total membership per year. Dr. Liu has made pioneering contributions to the satellite remote sensing of surface winds over the oceans which have led to the improvement of weather predictions using computer models.
